I live in like this super hip, cool, techy city, right? And right in the middle of it. I've wanted to mine hnt for a while but the things are just too expensive.
I won't tell you what kind I got, because I don't want to sound like i'm selling it, but it was around $200 and I have to figure out some outside enclosure for it.
It's coming fro England so it'll be a while, but in the meantime

Does anybody have any experience with these? I guess this means I gotta build a dumb iot project.

That's cool. For an outdoor enclosure the Nebra IP67 is pretty sexy. I'm not doing helium mining, but have it saved for one of my Raspberry Pi projects. You could do cheaper enclosures though, just make sure to use bulkhead connectors and seal everything off.
